Get Up and Be a Blessing

Kairos is excited to be partnering with the Oasis Center and Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee to provide food and shelter to our sisters and brothers in Middle Tennessee.

Kairos is a wonderfully blessed church and we understand that our resources are maximized when we collaborate with organizations with proven results in serving people to whom we believe God has called us to minister: the hungry and the homeless.

The Oasis Center provides emergency shelter for youth who are in crisis. Of the 40 beds across Tennessee available to youth, 12 are provided by the Oasis Center. In addition to serving youth in crisis, the Oasis Center, through their College Connection, opens doors of opportunities to youth when they completed High School or GED programs.

The Oasis Center is quite a phenomenal serving organization and we are certain that as we support their work with our time, talent and treasure we are fulfilling the mission and ministry to which we have been called as Christians.

Poverty is wrecking havoc on the lives of too many Middle Tennesseans, robbing them of human dignity. God has given us the responsibility of restoring dignity to all of His children. We can help to do this by feeding the hungry.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee is amazing. Simply put, our money goes farther to feed more and more hungry Middle Tennesseans when we partner with Second Harvest. 47% of the people who they serve are children. Children find it difficult, if not impossible, to grow and develop and achieve in school without proper nutrition. We bless children and build stronger communities across Middle Tennessee when we dedicate some of our time, talent and treasure to the work of this worthy organization.
