The Urban League of Middle Tennessee is celebrating its centennial by recommitting itself and advancing an agenda that supports progress for the next 100 years. The Centennial theme is I AM EMPOWERED which reminds everyone of the power of the individual to become a force for change by encouraging collective action to bring change to entire communities and urban areas. During this Centennial year, the Urban League asks Americans across the country to join in the Movement by signing its Centennial pledge. The Urban League is coming to ask for the support of your congregation. There is an effort to identify 100 churches in the metropolitan Nashville area that believe in the work of the Urban League, that will take the centennial pledge, support a city-wide Urban League Sunday, and make a financial investment that will help to advance its centennial goals.
Please consider being a part of this effort and signing the pledge. For more information, see the attached letter and sign up form. Click here for letter and form!
